Response from clinic: Thank you for your review. The following facts are being presented for your clarification. You visited our clinic along with your husband for consultation and treatment. During the consultation, you initially inquired about removal of the tooth and also discussed the possibility of root canal treatment. You informed us that you had limited time in India, approximately five (5) days, as you were required to travel abroad. In view of your limited time, you were clearly informed about the available treatment options that could be completed within the given period. These included a single-sitting root canal treatment by an endodontist and subsequent cap placement. The entire treatment procedure and its duration were explained to you in detail. Based on this understanding, you agreed to proceed, and the appointment with the endodontist was scheduled in your presence. Subsequently, you returned and began bargaining regarding the treatment charges. After discussion and mutual understanding, the treatment plan was scheduled to be completed within five (5) days." Thereafter, extraction of the wisdom tooth of your husband was performed, and the procedure was completed smoothly and without any complications. Later, you expressed concerns regarding post-treatment cap-related issues and recurrent pain. You then indicated a preference for tooth extraction instead of root canal treatment, assuming that removal would permanently eliminate pain and related complications. Despite being informed that extraction is irreversible and that the natural tooth cannot be restored once removed, you chose extraction after understanding all consequences. The tooth was removed only after obtaining your informed consent. On the next day, you returned for a follow-up visit and inquired about tooth-replacement options. You were advised that dental implantation would be the most suitable long-term solution, considering the clinical evaluation and age factors. You were clearly informed that the charges for the implantation would be 30,000. You were also informed that replacement of the extracted tooth through implantation would prevent future gaps and maintain proper alignment of teeth. All treatments and recommendations were provided transparently, professionally, and strictly in accordance with standard clinical practices based on your informed decisions.
